“They asked: ‘Why is it important to be kind?’ I said: ‘Because we walk past hundreds of people every day, and none of them wear signs that say, ‘I’m grieving,’ ‘I’m exhausted,’ or ‘I’m barely holding it together.’ But they’re everywhere. Kindness might be the only softness they recieve today.'” ~ Unknown

How the day started for Shero, and how the day ended for Shero. I tell you, roofing is hot, hot, hot work, and I feel so bad for those guys in the heat of summer. This crew was pretty awesome, though, because they made quick work of the job, cleaned up well, and had a woman working with them. I looked out at one point, and buddy, she was yanking up those shingles like they were buttered toast. Next up is to replace the hideous yellow vinyl, and then the outside of Hero and Shero’s house will be looking pretty dang nice.
