Dr. of Brilliance
The Bluegrass Trust brings great speakers to their annual Hopemont Lecture, but I think Dr. Melynda Price set the bar much higher last night with her talk about landscape. A native Texan, Dr. Price spent a lot of time at the University of Kentucky before moving on to the University of Michigan. Remember back in March when I went to the Monuments Workshop that I loved so much? That was the brainchild of Dr. Price. She’s not only smart as a tack (that workshop is just a small part of her brilliance), but she’s funny as all get out and sweet as can be. Her lecture last night was quite impressive, and the BGT has a tall order to top it.
