I attended the Kentucky Council on Archives (KCA) fall meeting in Maysville. Reinette and I presented to the group, for our fourth time this year, Kentucky’s historic newspapers and our efforts to preserve and make them available to the public. I took my camera along, hoping to explore downtown Maysville at lunch. Mother Nature had other ideas. By then, the clouds had descended, the faucets opened, and I watched from the window the beautiful downtown I’d wanted to explore. It had slowed to a misty drizzle by the time we left, and I was at least able to pop a few shots crossing the street on my way to the car. Despite the rain and architectural disappointment, it was a fabulous day with good people.
