I’ve had a pretty dang good Cinco de Mayo, starting with this gal right here. We had a lovely Mexican lunch near campus and great conversation. But then, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad conversation with Carla. Anyway, we had the cutest, sweetest waiter, and that was a nice little perk. Later in the evening, I was invited to have homemade fajitas with the Trainor-Heis tribe at their place with the parental unit, who drove down from Ohio this afternoon. In case you don’t know, Crystal makes fantastic fajitas, and visiting with Mama and Papa Heis was a balm to the soul. A full day of Food + Friends? = Fabulous!
