knights in sweaty armor

Two knights came to my rescue and helped me move the last of the stuff out of Hero and Shero’s house today, and the last donation truckload was delivered to Southland Christian Church. It was their clothes, and by far the hardest thing of all to do, and it was the last thing I did. I hung on to them as long as I could. It was just things; I know that, but they were some of the most personal: clothes that used to keep them warm in winter, or make them feel good and look smart when they went to church, or cool when they went to family summer picnics. Ken and Adam made me feel okay about it all. These two have helped me along this journey at different times, and I sure needed them today. All I had to do was call. What an incredible gift.

  1. I totally understand.
But of course your love was their favorite thing to wear. It was a cloak of light and they are still wearing it where they are.
