One thing I love about Judy is her sense of adventure. Like Shero, she rarely turns down a chance to see something new, try something new, or eat something new. Sometimes, we try to go someplace neither of us has been before. A couple of days ago, I said, “Hey Judy, have you tried the Big Kahuna?” When she said no, we decided then and there to give it a try. We’d both heard good things about it. The Big Kahuna, which serves Hawaiian BBQ and other dishes, has two locations in Lexington. We tried the Clays Mill site. It was delicious. The pork BBQ is okay. Judy said her coconut shrimp was fab, but for me, the sticky rice and Spam Musubi (Spam on sticky rice wrapped in seaweed – think Spam sushi) was out of this world. Never in my life did I think I would like Spam, but Spam Musubi made me a liar, and I liked it. I’ll go back, and I’m trying the avocado fries next time.
