I was her last client. My friend and acupuncturist Sara Hamilton, her husband, and her child are moving to Malaysia. She treated me briefly several years ago before she stopped practice upon getting pregnant. Now, after a six month return to practice, she’s leaving me again. She’ll be gone three years this time. I’ve come to understand that this is the kind of patient/doctor relationship we have: Six months on, three years off, repeat. I’m at peace with that because I’ve made a really wonderful friend in this process. That is always worth the wait. It’s the chance of a lifetime for the young family, and who doesn’t love a good adventure? Have a great time, Sara. I can’t wait to hear your stories, and thanks for helping take care of me.
