“A kind heart is a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles.” ~ Washington Irving
I’m still processing wedding photos of Virgil Alcorn and Deborah Burkybile in between a day job, a week’s worth of laundry, and all those dishes from last night’s hen party. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned that I don’t shoot weddings as a rule. I just don’t. They make me extremely nervous. So many things can go wrong, and when you’re shooting alone like I was, you will miss something because you can’t be everywhere at once. Excellent wedding photographers like Crystal Heis put a lot of thought and practice into their photography, which is why their work is fabulous and mine is mediocre. But every once in a while someone I really love will pull my heart strings and I say yes. And every once in a while I get lucky and shoot something I like. All it takes is one shot to make me glad I said yes. Instead of shooting something today, I thought I’d share this photo from their wedding. I’m glad I said yes to Deborah and Virgil. More love than you can imagine.
