I can’t believe I’ve introduced you to my GP, my surgeon, even my vet, but I’ve never mentioned the person I see more than all of them, my dental hygienist, Ilene Stoess. We go way back to Lexington’s 80’s music scene. It was a joyous surprise when I rediscovered Ilene a few years ago upon switching dentists. She always has a smile and a kind word, and we have interesting talks. I think I’m one of the few people that actually enjoys going to the dentist, and that’s because of her. Speaking of the dentist, Ilene’s boss is Dr. Jimmy Hill who happens to be, I have since found out, my distant cousin from Morgan County. His mother lives only three houses away from my folks. Plus, he looks so much like my great grandfather Hamilton that it’s kind of freaky in a cool way. I smile a lot because Lexington’s just a big small town. Thanks for making me feel right at home, Ilene.
