I’ve had some animal friends around the last two days, like this pair of Mourning Doves. They’ve been in my yard for several years, and yesterday I caught them nesting in the grass for a bit. This wasn’t too bad of a shot out the window, unlike the fly and chipmunk below.

Poor things were not as lucky. Their glass was dirty. The fly was enormous, big enough to focus on, no small thing (nyuck nyuck). And the chipmunk watched me for an hour in my office this morning. I would walk past the window, and he was fine with that unless I stopped. Then he’d head for the weeds until I was gone for a while. My animal friends bring me much joy.
