“Listen to the wind, it talks.
Listen to the silence, it speaks.
Listen to your heart, it knows.”
~ Native American proverb
Last year, I attended my 30 year high school class reunion during the Sorghum Festival. The Class of ’84 held their reunion at the same time this year. They liked my pictures from the Class of ’83, so they asked me to come document their reunion. One of the many great things about growing up in a small town is how several classes on either side of one’s graduating class were/are close. Graduating together was, in some ways, of little consequence. Camaraderie between classes was essentially equal. I enjoyed the ’84 reunion because of that bond. I must admit they were, surprisingly, much harder to photograph. I’m not entirely sure why. In any case, I had a great time. Here’s to another 30 years!
