“Sometimes everything hits you all at once. You lose a relationship, change jobs, old friends go and new ones come. It’s up one day and down the next. You have it all together on Monday and by Thursday you don’t have a clue. Life is one big wave and all we can do is flow, grow, and adapt.” ~ Sylvester McNutt

brrrrr

It snowed off and on today. We are headed for a record low of 20F tonight. It’s April Fool’s Day, yet this wasn’t a joke. Last year, we had a horrible frost into April that severely damaged Carol, my dwarf Japanese Maple. I have vowed to do everything I can to save her from that same fate this year, as well as my sweet lilac bush in the backyard that’s just budding. There aren’t enough sheets in the neighborhood to cover all my fruit, redbud, and smoke trees, so I have to hope the National Whatever Service is wrong and we are spared. Meanwhile, Carol is ready come what may.
