Tonight, for the first time, Aunt Janet is sleeping in her new bed in her new house. The end of this 13 month journey was made possible by mom and Stanya Franklin Terrell. Those women worked their butts off this week. God bless Stanya who made it a success, although I’ve never seen my mother as tired as she was today. Ever. Terry Lykins and his nephew, Jesse, moved the furniture. Annie Bassoni, Stacy Yelton, and I did some stuff like mopping and hanging blinds. The Icing was the hanging of the chili pepper lights as Janet gave us rock and roll hand signals. Hysterically funny! Blessings to Terry, Jesse, Stanya, Stacy, and Annie, plus the Mennonite Disaster Services, Habitat for Humanity, Greg Dikes, Glenn Ave. Church of God, Sally Barker, James Bevins, Thom Skinner, Lisa Banyai, Pam Thurman, Barbara Plested, Crystal Heis, Ken Trainor, Becky Ryder, Gordon Hogg, Tammy Kelly, John Hynes, Charlie and Kayla Conley, and Betina and Andrew Gardner. What a glorious day these people made possible. Thank you doesn’t seem enough. Most of all, thanks to my mom without whom this new house wouldn’t have happened.

This was such a great day for Aunt Janet. I feel so happy and blessed that I got to be of help to her. She is one super-great lady that I love and adore. May God keep her in his care and allow her many happy years to live there.
