They unveiled the restored doughboy a few weeks ago. I drove by yesterday to have a look. The breeze was waving the flag as if to say, “Come say hello to the Doughboy, sentry of West Liberty.” They did a remarkable job on the restoration. My little town took a beating, and we all know it will never be exactly the same, but it’s still my little town, I love it, and I’m so thankful folks are working hard to put her back together. That doughboy is one of the best things I’ve ever seen.
