“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” ~ Romans 12:21

mural

As we walked around downtown yesterday, Kat and I talked about how many gorgeous, though-provoking, and wildly creative murals are in Lexington. This is one of my favorites, and I really wanted to take Kats’ picture with it because it reminds me of her. Some may say it isn’t all that artistically creative, but I believe its symmetry, simplicity, and message are exactly why it’s one of my favorites. It’s also one of the most perfect murals to photograph Kat with because she is a champion of every person, regardless of their race, orientation, religion, creed, class, socioeconomic status, or whether they’re omnivorous or vegan. Kat accepts everyone so long as they’re kind and fair. That’s why I love and respect her, and I am extremely grateful for her friendship. Plus, her grandpa was a fireman, and the wall hydrant reminded her of him in the best way. Bonus love.
