I fell to sleep to the sound of distant thunder. I awoke to a much closer version. It was a perfect morning for ducks and sleeping in. Neither applied to me. Instead, I went to work, humidity hair all aflutter, and had cake with my co-workers to wish ace library grad student, Debbi Lloyd, salude on graduation and happy landings in her future. She’ll have absolutely no trouble in her career. She’s very smart, funny, well traveled, and just plain fun, and good thing because she may want to choke me for this picture, even though it’s a perfect image to describe the end of grad school. I think she ought to frame it. It will make her happy later.
