Dear friend Carol Hart loved the photos I used to post of my little Japanese maple. She gushed over its beauty so much that I named it Carol. I planted Carol not long after I moved into this house. She was so delicate and small that she had to be supported by a stick to keep her upright. Here she is, nearly 17 years later, full, beautiful, sturdy, ready for summer. Carol would still be gushing over her beauty. I know I do every time I look at her.
