“It’s all connected. Your gifts, your circumstances, your purposes, your imperfections, your journey, your destiny. It’s molding you. Embrace it.” ~ Unknown

hometown hero

I had a pretty fantastic day with my concert buddy Judy Sackett. We’ve had tickets for two years waiting to see Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and Madeline Edwards at the first-ever concert at UK’s football stadium Kroger Field. We had good seats near the pit, but Judy made friends with everybody around her and we ended up in the front row. Every set was great. Madeline Edwards won the golden Wonka ticket saying this was her first tour ever. Dang! She was good. Sheryl Crow was great, and she looked great for 60. She has inspired me to drop some more weight and beef up my arms. Judy and I saw Willie several years ago when he was only 85, but lo and behold, he was better tonight than he was then. He really did a great job. Chris Stapleton – one of Kentucky’s best exports. He has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard, and his songs and playing are equally brilliant. The weather couldn’t have been more splendid for a perfect night of music. Well done, Kentucky. Well done.
