Sunday I mentioned the water fowl at Cave Run had been segregated to tiny islands created by the flood. I also mentioned the waters were backed up all the way to my parent’s place (below). They actually live on the hill, so they’re in no danger, but this farm won’t be planting in their bottomlands any time soon (not that they would anyway). If the geese weren’t displaced and the mosquito population promoted, I’d be all for keeping the water level up. It makes for pretty surroundings.
