“May we awaken from the dream that we are different.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

God’s handy(wo)man

The bees – God bless ’em – they keep this world alive. They were out in full force today. The bumbles were especially happy with the redbud, the tree now known as Henry’s Tree for the toddler who’s mother told me just last Sunday as they were walking by that he was fascinated by the tree when she would push him in his stroller. She and her utterly delightful husband began to call it “Henry’s Tree” because the boy insisted they stop beneath it every time they passed. The story warmed my heart so I’m calling it Henry’s Tree from now on. The bees are doing their part to ensure Henry’s Tree grows vibrant and fertile. I’m thrilled to see so many bees. I’m planning a nearby bee and butterfly garden to do my part to see they have enough to eat. A yard with many bees is a blessed yard indeed.
