old friend
I was pleasantly surprised to look up from my morning desk to see this smiling face. Making his first appearance in the outhouse is old friend Alan Lytle. Alan and I go way back, even before my days producing tonic: arts and music magazine at WUKY where Alan remains the news director still. He is one of the funniest guys on the planet, eaten up with musical talent, a voice destined for radio, and look how stinkin’ cute he is. What’s not to love? The best part about Alan is that he is very, very kind. That makes him a keeper. I don’t get to see him as much as I used to since the station moved off-campus four years ago, but he sure made my day today with his pop-in visit. Here’s hoping for more surprise visits.
