The daffys, as my Kiwi BFF Sharon Shearman always called them, finally made their 2014 appearance. I walked out of the office to a sea of yellow. There’s a small bunch near the street that are different from the rest. They have these lovely deep orange centers. I set the camera near the ground and snapped with no idea what was in focus. This is what I got. I call that a winning day.
