“Be a little kinder than you have to.” ~ E. Bennett

summer (snapseed)

This is Gaillardia pulchella, or Indian blanket. Back in late spring, when we went flower shopping for mom’s little flower bed, this sweet flower spoke to me from across the room. I brought it home and set it out in a pot by the back door. To me, it is one of the most beautiful flowers and it gladdens my heart every time I see it. I see planting many, many more next year.
