“One of my favorite feelings is laughing with someone and realizing halfway through how much you enjoy them and their existence.” ~ Unknown

The pairing below is pretty typical for us Radical Departures. While Chris and Melissa hammer out chord changes and structure (the lion’s share of the work), David and I make jokes. Not about them. Other things. Last night there was a lot of jokes about Peavey gear and how horribly popular (read: affordable) it was in the late 70’s, early 80’s Eastern Kentucky. The sounds were horrid – even then – and the weight so heavy even young men grunted like mules to lift any of it, especially the bass rigs. David knows this all too well and many a joke was made at Peavey’s expense. One of the many things I love about David is how we have such similar cultural experiences. It makes the jokes all the funnier.
