“You don’t have a right to the cards you believe you should have been dealt. You have an obligation to play the hell out of the ones you’re holding.” ~ Cheryl Strayed
It was the first day of class for me, fourth for the University. I continue to be excited about the Historic Preservation master’s program and this semester’s class promises to be really fun and important. I got back home to find dad’s sisters and great-niece Macie playing a rousing game of Farkle, a family favorite. It tickles him to death when they come over for game day. As a bonus, they brought gifts for me from Mike Moore and Jen Reynolds that I will enjoy and love forever. I couldn’t ask for a better day really, and boy, am I grateful for it.
