It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.

I had to post the entire poem. I couldn’t isolate a single line. They are equally powerful and mighty. Each line is significant to every moment of every day to every person. For me, they are particularly meaningful, as if Wendell read my mind, offering a calming token for my real journey. I may be employed for the first time in my life. I am fueled and I am not afraid.
