Today we visited the Oldham County History Center in LaGrange, KY. I’ve been close to LaGrange many times, but I’d never been to the town itself. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. The railroad runs straight down the middle of main street! We were there for four hours and that track was bustling with one train after another, which of course I found totally awesome. It actually made it a little hard to concentrate. I wanted to run outside with my camera every time I heard the low hum and steady thump. Apart from that, it was a wildly successful day. I got to meet new people, learn new things, see new places, hear new music, and visit a fun little coffee shop. Fun!
