“You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.” ~ Thomas Merton
Me and the Terry cousins get together every so often for breakfast or lunch. There are so many of us, and we’re spread across so many states, that it’s usually just us locals that manage to meet. That was the case today. (L-R: Renee Terry Watkins, Jessica Terry Stigall, me, Melissa Wilson Moore, and honorary cousin Rhonda Wilkirson Dedic) We needed to gather for the Christmas holiday, too. So, we met at Frisch’s for breakfast. The kids exchanged gifts while the adults exchanged jokes. We talked a little about politics, a lot about DNA testing, and a ton about our family genealogy. I enjoy our gatherings so much. I always learn something new. I always laugh. I always come away feeling renewed and appreciated. I wouldn’t trade my cousins for anything.
