“I guess the real fact of the matter is, we don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring and the only thing we really have is right now. So, don’t stay angry for too long and learn to forgive. Love your friends and family with all your heart. Have fun and live your life the way you want to live it. Most of all, don’t worry about people that don’t like you and enjoy the ones who do.” ~ TinyBuddha
Kristy Kelly Meanor had the best idea ever when she said we should set up a zoom meet and greet for our parents. So, we did! Barbara and Jimmy Kelly in Wetumpka, Alabama zoomed with Shirley and Shorty Terry in Lexington, Kentucky. For over an hour they talked about old times. Dad could only follow so much, and the connection breakup made it hard for mom to keep up at times, but they soldiered on and had a brilliant time. Jimmy and Barbara “lost their zoom virginity,” which is so like Kristy and so like Barbara and it’s no wonder at all why they’ve all been friends for nearly 60 years. I couldn’t be more grateful that they met all those years ago and continue to be friends. What wonderful people, all of them.
