I’m usually so busy this time of year that I rarely enjoy Christmas shopping. At least that’s been true for a decade, give or take a year or two. But today, even though I’m up to my eyeballs in work and feeling super behind with, well, almost everything, I went out to shop. There are some people in my life who are really important, who deserve thoughtful gifts, not just a quick random gift, and I was determined to do well for them. The afternoon did not disappoint. I had the best time Christmas shopping and it reminded me of how good it makes one feel to get just the right thing for those you love. It didn’t hurt that I found this display a bit ironic, unusual, and hilarious. I suppose this is the “spiritual” section. Tiz the season.
