Inside every raindrop is an inverted sad day at the soggiest cemetery on the planet, where we said our final goodbye to Rental Sister Pam. Cousin Eunice was also laid to rest today in the Adam Terry Cemetery on the Perry/Knott County Line. No doubt it was a super soaker cemetery, too, and being on a mountainside, I’m sure, it was a lesson in gravity and mud. Pam and Eunice had a lot of things in common, actually. They were both incredibly positive, optimistic people. They saw the best in every person they met. Nothing mattered more than family. We could all learn from them how to be grateful for the wonders surrounding us. Let this holiday season be one more of gratitude than sadness. That’s genuinely honoring their memories and our other loved ones no longer here.
