I was in the office to do some end-of-year setup and found my mailbox full. In fact, everyone’s mailbox was full. The library doesn’t usually take such extraordinary steps to show its gratitude, but this was an exceptional year, and it was good of them to do a little something for its employees. And a couple of co-workers had slipped in a little something extra. Those, too, were appreciated. As an employer or supervisor, it’s important to let your people know you value their work every day, and it’s never a bad idea to show them a little extra appreciation during the holidays. Especially this year!
