“Ten years from now, make sure you can say you chose your life, you didn’t settle for it.” ~ Mandy Hale
Once more, God, the Universe, and all the saints conspired to help us make a seamless transition from medical care to Hospice. Because Shero requires pretty significant pain management, she qualified for inpatient Hospice care, and there happened to be an open bed for her this evening at the Bluegrass Care Navigators facility at UK Good Sam Hospital. Not only is the room spacious and clean, but I’m also no longer forced to sleep in a chair, and she has lovely colors and designs to engage her. The staff could not be kinder, and I am forever grateful to Aunt Charlene and Uncle Tony for helping get her moved while I ran home, cleaned up, got some much-needed things done, and ate something hot. Here’s hoping for a good night’s sleep for both of us.
