My sweet little Japanese Maple, Carol, hangs on to last year’s leaves despite snow and cold. I paid a whopping $8 for Carol over ten years ago. Her trunk was so thin that I had to plant her with a support stick. I think she’s fabulous, last year’s leaves and all.
