Looks like the yarn bombers have hit downtown Lexington. I last saw trees yarn bombed back in 2013 on campus. If you’re not familiar with yarn bombing, in brief, it’s usually done anonymously by a group of knitters as a public art piece. Trees seem to be favorite thing for them to wrap with their knitted creations. If I’m not mistaken it started in Yellow Springs, Ohio several years ago. These particular trees have Christmas lights poking through, so I bet they’re pretty awesome at night. Go knitters! Keep making Lexington funky cool. It makes a lot of us happy.
