“The amount of good things in your life depends on your ability to notice them.” ~ Unknown

power couple

For at least four days now, maybe more, since I’ve lost all track of time, Tony and Charlene have come to the hospital and Hospice to give me a break to go home to shower or, today, go across the street with Stacy and Kelly for lunch. Kel drove down from Cincinnati with a beautiful little “comfort angel” for Shero, and a little time for me. We were talking about how we’re now at the age where the passing of friends and family has become more common, and how much we hate it. Nevertheless, we’d do it all over again because loving our people is greater than the grief of their loss. I remain eternally grateful to Tony and Charlene for loving me and Shero as much as they loved Hero. I won the family lottery.
