I was on my way to a meeting at UK’s main library when I ran into my good friend, Jenrose. She was on her way to teach a class on… energy in Appalachia (or something very close to that). Talking for that brief time really made my day. Jenrose is so, so smart, as kind-hearted as the day is long, and an exceptional lyricist. When she’s not teaching she’s performing somewhere – usually just her and her guitar. She’s a great example of someone who has found a way to earn a living without losing herself, her art, her passions.
