“People will stop asking you questions if you answer back in interpretive dance.” ~ Unknown
Let me introduce ya’ll to Liz Devereaux, cosmetologist and human being extraordinaire. She doesn’t like all this tech/internet stuff or having her picture taken, but she said she was all right with me posting about her. Shero and I paid her a visit today. It had been quite some time since I’d seen Liz, well over a decade, probably. Mary Molinaro recommended her when Charlotte was on again/off again. That was four salon moves ago. Mary has since retired and moved to Mexico, but Liz’s librarian cache has grown. She does Ruth Bryan and Judy Sackett’s hair, plus several public librarians. Let me tell you something about Liz. She has changed dramatically since I last saw her. She’s incredibly positive and a straight shooter. She looks beautiful, having dropped 50 pounds, changed her hairstyle, and gotten killer spectacles. She was super supportive of my role in parent care (she’s been through it) and finishing grad school, and she was so, so sweet to Shero. And hey, we both got great cuts to boot! What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday. It won’t be another decade before I see Liz again; I know that for a fact.
