all work and no play (hipstamatic)
I’d been home from work just briefly when the doorbell rang. I have a no soliciting sign, so I assumed it was a neighbor or friend. I opened the door.
MAN: Hello, I’m the guy that sells beef to your neighbors. Do you like a good steak every once in a while?
ME: Thanks, but I’m a vegetarian.
MAN: Oh, that’s a bad word sometimes.
ME: <crickets>
MAN: Have a good evening.
ME: <shuts door and howls with laughter>
I’m going to ask forgiveness now. I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m still laughing at my Oscar performance for saying I was. Meanwhile, all the items in the picture, save for the banana, were birthday presents, even the Starbucks latte. It’s been a very funny Monday. I think I’ll make it a point to make them all funny Mondays.
