First thing this morning Terry Birdwhistell handed me a copy of his new book on Bess Clements Abell. He very sweetly signed it. I was touched by his kind words, and very proud of the work he’d done to bring the book to life. This was a great, unexpected way to start the day. I’m pretty doggone blessed with an embarrassment of friendship riches.
