not today

This is not today. This was early January, the 5th maybe, when we got the only appreciable snow we’ve had this winter. The neighbors with little kids still had their Christmas lights up. Dad had just been released from the hospital after his stroke, and they were staying with me. It was down in the 20’s. I looked outside after dinner and suddenly the flakes were huge. By the time I got outside with a tripod they’d tapered off. Still, snow is beautiful and we can always do with a little more beauty. So, here’s some for us to enjoy during this rainy, warm winter.

Since I’m taking a break from fb I’ll keep up with The Outhouse directly. It’s one of the things I WILL miss about my fb sabbatical! 🙂
