“Shout out to everyone who can remember their childhood telephone number but can’t recall the password they made yesterday. You are my people.” ~ Unknown

outdoor lunch?

Today’s news from the frozen land of the Bluegrass–in fact, it’s so cold, if we had grass right now it would indeed be blue–is that there is no new news to report. Shero had a pretty scary morning with her breathing, but God saw fit to put me and her beloved pulmonolgist Dr Burgher, in the same hallway this morning. After that, her fate changed. Her oxygen improved to better than it is at home, and her overall appearance and disposition also improved. She’s resting comfortably tonight, and I couldn’t be more thankful to the doctors and nurses who went into action today to make that happen. I’m also eternally grateful to everyone who has sent texts and messages, and those praying, lighting candles of healing, and thinking kindly of her – it all matters. If you called and I did not respond, it’s because I can’t. I’m in the room most of the time because she either needs me or the doctors need me, and the rest of the time she’s sleeping. Typing is quieter, but I’m reading you loud and clear.
