Finally, I met one of the best men in Kentucky. Larry LaFollette runs the records program at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College where I did an adjunct stint last semester. We were in constant contact during that time. He instantly put me at ease, and was so warm and compassionate, not just to me, but to the students as well. He’s even better in person. Larry also understands newspapers and their significance to history, which deserves a medal as far as I’m concerned. Thank you, gentle friend, for using your liberal arts education to think for yourself (inside joke). And thanks for being so cool. As a token of my appreciation, here’s a picture of your knuckles.

Larry LaFollette is my long-lost brother in law. I would love it if he got in touch; I am writing the
Finley-LaFollette family history and should have it going out for Christmas. I have some older
pictures of Larry but none of his knuckles. Wow. Where ARE you, Larry ?
