“We benefit enormously from having at least one friend who is crazy and one who is an oasis of calm.” ~ Dr. SunWolf

surprise

I was standing just outside the Carnegie Center doorway at yesterday’s photo shoot when the door opened and these two lovelies walked out. Sara and I looked at each other then broke into joyous smiles. For those new to the outhouse, Sara Hamilton used to be my acupuncturist. I first wrote about her way back in 2013. Soon after, she, along with her husband and their very young baby Olivia (obviously no longer an infant), set sail for Malaysia for work duties. After several years away they returned to the states, although Sara did not pick up her acupuncture practice. Last night was the first time we’d seen each other since 2013. It was the optimum time to catch up, what with models and publishers standing on each side of us, but we talked long enough to reconnect and I’m certain I’ll see her again soon. Some days, like yesterday, are just so great it takes multiple posts to get it all in. I’ve had a few such days lately. I’m grateful for each one, even the ones that may seem ordinary.
