Jen Adkins Reynolds’ dad, Uncle Tony with Aunt Charlene, dropped by today to deliver an early birthday gift from Jen and Jon. David Bowie and I share a birthdate and Jen, being perhaps the most thoughtful person I’ve ever met, remembered this little factoid. She found this fun handmade-in-Kyrgistan Bowie ornament, paired it with a card that I am totally going to frame because it’s awesome, and flat out made my day. It was my first day back at work after a wonderfully long holiday break, and of course, loads of things went wrong (because… Monday). Jen’s timing for gift delivery, in addition to her brilliant heart, couldn’t have been better. Happy Birthday on the other side, Dark Star Bowie, and thank you, Jon and Jen, for knowing me so well and thinking of me this week.
