“Sometimes, just being there for someone, even in the smallest way—can give them hope they didn’t think they’d find again. You might not see the impact you have, but your kindness reminds people that the world still has light, even in the darkest moments.” ~ Unknown
I got out today and cleared as much ice and snow as I could, but let me tell ya, there’s no clearing ice off blacktop. It doesn’t matter if there’s snow beneath it and the ice is only a 1/2″ thick. It’s one big hunk of ice. Let me tell ya another thing: I am severely out of shape. Two hours of shoveling, and I’m moving like I’m 90 years old and as sore as if I’ve been thrown off a horse. For my horsey peeps Maggs and Sharon, you’ll surely recognize my coveralls. I can’t believe I was still able to get in them. That gives me hope! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need an Ibuprofen and a full night’s sleep.
