I had a big surprise the first day I was in Oklahoma: my old friend and fellow musician, Tony Harp. We hadn’t seen each other in probably twenty years. Since the last time we were together he has moved all over the country, finally settling in Colorado, getting married, and opened Firehole Recording Studio. He’s also got an awesome new solo record available at CDBaby called Ride The Circle. He and veterinarian fiancé, Jessica, dropped by Angie’s on their way to Tony’s ancestral home the next county over. They brought Ang some gorgeous iris rhizomes from their garden in Colorado. Tony was always one of the kindest people I knew, and a fantastic player. I sure wish I could see him more often than every twenty years, but I’ll take what I can get. He’s worth the wait.
