In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” ~ Albert Einstein
What is it with me and bicycles? The May 18, 2013 post featured a bicycle, too. And, of course, yesterday’s post focused in the turquoise bike. Granted, that’s not a lot of bikes in a five year period, but it occurs to me there’s something compelling about a bike without a rider. I don’t know if it’s a sense of loneliness (I don’t think so), nostalgia (more likely), desire (I seriously doubt it since I broke my leg riding a bicycle), or what, but I find a bicycle by itself attractive. It could also be the surroundings in which I find them. Perhaps I’ll stumble across more solitary bikes in the future, and find my answer.
