For years Dan Kibler has sent kookie things to me in the mail. Back in the early 1990’s, when I was watching Ren and Stimpy a lot, I’d get packages filled with Ren and Stimpy stuff, like straws, wind-up cars, or trading cards. He was working at a video store at the time, so he would throw in a VHS of some great, but obscure, movie every now and then. It was always Christmas at my house. Dan no longer works at the video store, and I haven’t seen a Ren and Stimpy episode in probably 20 years. That hasn’t stopped him from playing Santa. Now, he sends photos of outhouses. Last week I got a whopper of a package with three negatives (above). Perfectly grown men in ties taking pictures of each other in outhouses. Those guys know how to live! Next time you see an outhouse, stop and take a picture of yourself with it. You know where to find me.
