Today was a big day! A grand day! A most excellent adventure day! It started with a phone interview for the job I really want. It was the shortest interview I’ve ever given. I’m hoping that’s a good thing, but I don’t know that it is. All digits remain crossed. Then, I had my post-op appointment with uber-awesome Dr. Cavatassi. We shared a few laughs, and I got a clean bill of health. He was running over an hour late, so I had plenty of time to photograph everything in the office, as evidenced below. Then, it was off for an early birthday lunch for BFF Marie Dale, wherein we ran into Gordon Hogg and his childhood drummer buddy, Andy, from Virginia. That was a fun visit. Then it was over to visit with my colleague Kathryn Lybarger, discussing everything from drumming to heart valve surgeries. But, wait, there’s more! I then took the afternoon off to shop for some dressier clothes since I no longer fit in anything I own. The final diet tally? I’ve dropped 45 lbs, and two sizes. I haven’t been this small since I quit smoking 13 years ago (on the11th of this month). Then (you thought I was done, didn’t you?), Stacy Yelton told me she was offered, and accepted, a full-time position today. Yes, I think this was a highly successful day indeed. I hope your day was equally as awesome.
